Last Updated: 2026-01-02

This Privacy Policy explains how Roofads (“Roofads,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, shares, and protects information when you visit or use our website, forms, and related services (collectively, the “Services”), including our advertiser request tools, driver program, and any related mobile applications.

US‑Only Notice: Our Services are intended for users in the United States. If you access the Services from outside the U.S., you understand your information may be processed in the U.S.

1) Who We Are

Roofads connects advertisers and drivers through rooftop vehicle advertising and campaign tools. Advertisers can request campaigns and drivers can apply or join a waitlist to participate in campaigns where available.

2) Information We Collect

We collect information in three main ways: (a) information you provide, (b) information collected automatically, and (c) information from third parties.

A. Information You Provide

Depending on how you interact with Roofads, you may provide:

Advertisers / Business inquiries

  • Contact information (name, email, phone number)
  • Business information (business name, website/social links, category/industry)
  • Campaign information (target city/area, goals, budget range, message details)
  • Communications (messages you send, support requests)

Drivers / Driver waitlist or application

  • Contact information (name, email, phone number)
  • City/market and availability details
  • Vehicle information (vehicle type, year/make/model, photos, insurance status)
  • Driving patterns (general mileage ranges, driving times/areas, driving use such as personal/rideshare/delivery)
  • Verification information (e.g., driver’s license and insurance verification). Some campaigns may require additional checks.

Payments (if applicable)

  • If you become a paying advertiser or an earning driver, we (or our payment processors) may collect billing and payout details (such as payment method tokens and payout account details). We typically do not store full payment card numbers on our servers if a processor is used.

B. Information Collected Automatically

When you use the Services, we may automatically collect:

  • Device and usage data (IP address, browser type, device identifiers, operating system, pages viewed, timestamps, referring URLs)
  • Approximate location (derived from IP address)
  • Cookies and similar technologies (see Section 6)

C. Information We Collect Through the Driver App / Campaign Operations (if applicable)

If you participate as a driver or use our mobile app/equipment, we may collect:

  • Precise geolocation during campaign participation (to confirm activity, route coverage, and reporting)
  • Device and performance data (app diagnostics, device IDs, campaign status)
  • Proof-of-play / verification data, which may include photo logs or other confirmations used for campaign reporting and quality control

You can usually control precise location collection through your device settings, but disabling it may limit your ability to participate in campaigns or receive earnings.

D. Information From Third Parties

We may receive information from:

  • Payment processors (payment confirmations, fraud signals)
  • Service providers (analytics, fraud prevention, communications tools)
  • Verification providers (if we run verification or background checks for certain driver programs, where permitted by law)
  • Installation or support partners (appointment confirmations and service status)

3) How We Use Information

We use information to:

  • Provide, operate, and improve the Services
  • Respond to inquiries and provide customer support
  • Review and process driver applications and advertiser requests
  • Match drivers and campaigns, and manage availability by market/city
  • Provide campaign reporting (such as route coverage and impression estimates)
  • Communicate with you about launches, onboarding, service updates, and important notices
  • Send marketing communications (where permitted and based on your preferences)
  • Protect the safety and integrity of the Services (fraud prevention, security monitoring)
  • Comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms

4) How We Share Information

We may share information in the following situations:

A. With Service Providers

We share information with vendors who help us run the Services (e.g., hosting, analytics, customer support tools, communications, fraud prevention, payment processing). They are authorized to use information only as needed to provide services to us.

B. With Advertisers (Reporting)

To run campaigns and provide reporting, we may share aggregated and/or de-identified campaign performance information (for example, coverage summaries and heatmaps).
We do not intend to share a driver’s direct personal contact information with advertisers unless it’s necessary for operations, you request it, or you consent.

C. With Partners for Installation / Support (Drivers)

If you are approved as a driver, we may share limited information with installation or service partners to schedule installation, maintenance, or removal of rooftop equipment.

D. For Legal, Safety, and Compliance Reasons

We may disclose information if we believe it is necessary to:

  • Comply with law, regulations, subpoenas, or lawful requests
  • Protect the rights, safety, and security of Roofads, our users, or others
  • Investigate fraud or security incidents

E. Business Transfers

If we are involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, bankruptcy, or sale of assets, information may be transferred as part of that transaction.

5) Your Choices

You can opt out of marketing emails at any time by using the unsubscribe link in the message (or by contacting us). Even if you opt out, we may still send important transactional or service-related messages.

You may request updates or corrections by contacting us (see Section 11).

6) Cookies & Similar Technologies

We may use cookies, pixels, and similar technologies to:

  • Keep the site working properly (essential cookies)
  • Remember preferences
  • Understand usage and improve performance (analytics)
  • Support advertising/measurement (where used)

Cookie Controls: You can control cookies through your browser settings. If you block cookies, some parts of the Services may not function properly.

Do Not Track

Some browsers offer a “Do Not Track” (DNT) signal. Because there is no consistent industry standard for DNT, we may not respond to DNT signals.

7) Data Retention

We keep information only as long as reasonably necessary for:

  • The purposes described in this Privacy Policy
  • Operational needs (e.g., support, fraud prevention)
  • Legal, accounting, or compliance requirements

Retention periods can vary depending on the type of information and why we collected it.

8) Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information. However, no system can be 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

9) Children’s Privacy

The Services are not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact us and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.

10) US State Privacy Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have certain rights under applicable state privacy laws. These may include the right to:

  • Request access to personal information we hold about you
  • Request deletion of personal information
  • Request correction of inaccurate personal information
  • Receive a copy of your information (data portability), where applicable

Non‑discrimination: We will not discriminate against you for exercising your privacy rights.

11) Contact Us (Privacy Requests)

Please include: your name, the email/phone you used with Roofads, your state of residence, and what you are requesting (access, deletion, correction, opt-out, etc.). We may need to verify your request before completing it.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make changes, we will update the “Last Updated” date above. Your continued use of the Services after an update means you accept the revised policy.
